Exit Poll 2024: Shock for Trinamool Congress in Bengal, BJP expected to make big gains

Kolkata: Lok Sabha polls concluded across the country including West Bengal on Saturday. Following this, opinion polls about the election results are also being released. Poll results for 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal are out. However, in almost all opinion polls, the BJP is ahead of the Trinamool Congress in the state. In the polls conducted by most of the agencies, the BJP will win more seats than the Trinamool Congress in the state. At the same time, the Indian alliance could get one to three seats here. In 2019, Trinamool Congress won 22 seats. Earlier in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Trinamool Congress had won a total of 22 seats and the BJP had won 18 seats. At the same time Congress got two seats. In 2019, the Left Front did not even open its account here. But in this poll, the Congress party has a chance to open another CPI(M) account. Going by the post-poll data, the BJP will win more seats here than in 2019.
