Durgesh Kumar of Panchayat fame expressed his agony saying that people are not marrying their girls to me..this is the reason.
Durgesh Kumar of Panchayat fame has become a featured face of the industry these days, Bihar-based Durgesh Kumar spoke at length about his recent success, current challenges and upcoming projects. How much has life changed since the release of Panchayat 3? I'm having so much fun, the show was released on May 28, but the congratulations don't stop there. Big directors call for auditions. Independent filmmakers are casting me in their films without any audition and are paying me handsomely, so now I am in a settled situation. How much do you contribute to Bhushan's character in Panchayat 3? What do I care about the written line? I'll be honest about that. My progress is like Aluha Vala. Padkun Kadak Sai La.Dek Rahe Vinod is already a hit so the producer decided that there is no need to repeat it once again so I have kept my voice natural so as not to be highlighted. This time I explored Aluva. This line was mine and the director also liked it. I would say my 20% remains though. 80% contribution is made by director, writer and cinematographer. How useful are personal life experiences? Everyone knows that I am from Darbhanga, Bihar. I have seen the village and the people living there very closely, so I have tried to show that in my character. Many people are complaining why I sang the song Gusri Wale Seem. In my village, people even sing abuse and when someone dies, they cry by singing ah ah song. I had the note so I knew I couldn't just show my anger on my face. If you sing a song and show your anger, it will impress many people with how angry you are. It's common news that you shot Panchayat 2 during a stressful time, how much were you able to recover from it? I am normal now. I am cured. I have my checkup every 6 months with my doctor Nikhil Rao. I also stopped taking this medicine daily after a few days when my father had a brain haemorrhage. So the tension was natural, while the offer to shoot for Panchayat 2 came, nothing could be hidden from the camera. I will say that whatever we actors show the camera likes. And with that, I'll repeat Charlie Chaplin's saying that the real comedy happens when a great man falls on a banana peel, whereas for him it's a sad thing. When I spoke to you at the time of Missing Ladies, you told me that I was regularly visiting the Actors' Union Department in Aram Nagar Panchayat 3. Hey, I also went there yesterday, how will it work if Yash Raj and Dharma are given big roles. We are at a very low level now. I will go to everyone and repeat the same bro, look for good roles. If you see a big role, they say, hey, why are you coming? If something happens, we will tell you directly. Mukesh Chapra, Casting Bay, What is Andy Casting? When he gets the script, he calls me. Take auditions, but sometimes a good project like Barak Mehta, Kabir Sinha, Shubham, Romi Modi comes up, so I approach everyone for a script that can push my limits as an actor. Did you miss the lead actor tag? I have played many leading roles in plays, but I always knew that this industry runs on money, so I can't earn money and give it away. I don't have that face. I am a character artist. In this I look up to Sanjay Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Vijendra Kalra, Gajraj Rao as ideals and want to work like them. Now for 10 to 12 days people have to consider me for a role, which is a big deal for me. Who has influenced you the most in acting? I take the name of an actor, his name is Mahendra Mewati, he belongs to NSD batch of 195. He did theater in Delhi and then came to Mumbai, but as he didn't get a job in Mumbai, he went back to Delhi and did the play Othello. His performance in it took my breath away. After that Aurangzeb saw the second performance. There is one Rajendra Nath, who played in Sakaram Binder's place. He worked in a bank and played the role of Sakaram Binder. I don't remember their names but their performances gave me the ultimate enjoyment of acting. Has your role been cut short in any of the films you've acted in? There are many. I did Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor. There were two scenes where I was robbing a bank, but as the length of the film increased, my role was reduced. Sanju played the role of a postman in the film, so that scene was also cut. That was the most difficult period of my struggle. In such a situation, when that scene was also cut, it was very bad. Friends will also say, oh, you said you'd watch this movie, but you haven't seen a single scene. Recently I had a scene in Maharaj too. Aamir Khan's son's monotheistic speech in the court. I had a comedy scene but that was also cut. Is there a picture of famous writer Nagarjuna in your whatsapp tp, any special reason? Nagarjuna was a minor writer in our place, so you see the first big man from your area, then Ram Gopal came Bajaj, Amrit Srikanth. Vidyapati was also there long ago. Now my name is also coming. It makes me proud but there is still a long way to go. What does your family say about your success? I won't lie, my family doesn't mind anything I do. My elder brother and my sisters don't watch. She repeats the same thing even now that it would have been better if you were an engineer. There is a reason for this. (Laughs) Not to say, but still I say you are 38 years old. I am Maithil Brahmin, I am not married. The villagers say that he is married. She has children as I work in films and live in Mumbai. What are your upcoming projects? Now comes Gangs of Ghaziabad, in which actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Ashutosh Rana are acting with me. I also acted in Saif Ali Khan's Dutta in Amiri with Rahul Preet. Ratanpura is an independent film. Along with this two or three short films of mine will also come. Have you bought your house in Mumbai? Yes, a few months ago I bought a flat of my own in Yari Road, Mumbai. Is panchayat responsible for housing? Life was good in the panchayat, but I got good money in Ghaziabad. I also took some help from my family members and now I can go to Aram Nagar and fight in peace. I don't have to think about room rent. Is an expensive car next on the wish list? (Laughs) Now my only wish list is to find a good girl and marry her. Durgesh Kumar of panchayat fame expressed his agony, people are not giving their girls in marriage to me.. this is the reason said Prabhat Kabar.
