Dubai : 8 public beaches reserved for families during Eid al-Adha holidays
Dubai’s eight public beaches are family-friendly during the Eid al-Adha holidays. This is to control the number of visitors and ensure that everyone can enjoy the UAE beaches during their vacation.
Dubai Municipality (DM) recommends families access Khor Al Mamzar, Corniche Al Mamzar, Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqim 1, Umm Suqim 2 and Jebel Ali beaches confirmed.
The city will also deploy a 140-member security and rescue team to increase beach safety during this period. A 65-person on-site management team also organizes beach operations and ensures the highest safety standards for beach visitors.
Ebrahim Muhammad Juma, Director of the Beaches and Public Waterways Department of the Ministry of Health, emphasized that civil society, in collaboration with strategic partners, will carefully monitor all activities on the beaches during the Eid al-Adha holidays.
He said: “Dubai Municipality has deployed an integrated security team consisting of 140 highly trained staff with state-of-the-art logistics equipment to strengthen coastal rescue operations and ensure the highest standards of safety for beachgoers.” “[The aim] is to provide families with a high level of comfort and well-being and improve their quality of life.”
Last year, three night beaches opened in the emirate with innovative lighting systems, electronic screens and world-class facilities. This is part of our strategy to make Dubai the most livable city in the world.
The initiative proved very popular and hundreds of residents flocked to the area to enjoy an evening swim.Determined and even elderly people have dedicated staff and services to ensure easy access to their destination beaches.
The DM oversees the management of the emirate’s waterways and public beaches with a focus on infrastructure development, improved service delivery and attractive integrated facilities.
The aim of these projects is to offer residents and visitors leisure experiences and to promote their health and well-being.
Last year, a master plan was announced that would expand Dubai’s coastline by 400 percent by 2040. The organization says residents and tourists will be able to explore 105 kilometers of public beaches, up from the current 21 kilometers.
The services offered in these properties will also increase by 300% and include shops, restaurants, water sports, family areas, marine reserves and more.
