Delhi: Bail rejected for 5 accused in IAS coach accident case, SUV driver also denied bail

Delhi coaching accident case: Delhi's Dees Hazari court on Wednesday delivered a major verdict in the IAS coaching center accident case. The court has rejected the bail plea of ​​5 people who have been imprisoned in this case. 3 students died after water stagnated in the basement of the IAS training center in Delhi's Old Rajendra Nagar. At the same time, hundreds of angry students protested in the streets after the accident. During the hearing, the court rejected the bail of the plot owners Parvinder Singh, Sarvjit Singh, Harvinder Singh and Tejender Singh. Along with this, the court also canceled the bail of Porsche Gorkha car owner Manoj Khaturia. Manoj Khaturia, the owner of the Gorkha car, filed a case in court challenging the arrest of the SUV driver as he was not even granted bail. The court asked whether to withdraw this plea or should I pass an order for this also. Rejecting Manoj Khaturia's bail plea, the court has sought a reply from the investigating authorities. Manoj Khaturia has been accused of driving his SUV on a rain-soaked road. Due to this, the speed of the water increased and the doors of the three-storey coaching institute were broken and the basement filled with water. Manoj Khaturia's lawyer challenged the arrest in court and said his client had no intention of perpetrating the incident. Hundreds of angry students started a hunger strike outside the Rao IAS study circle on Tuesday saying 'this incident is MCD and my personal failure'. The protesting students have said that the families of the 3 students who died in the accident should be given a compensation of one crore rupees each. Also, the students have demanded that there should be transparency in the investigation regarding the death in this accident and that the drainage system should be resolved. After the death of 3 fellow students, the students have been protesting continuously. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a group of students on hunger strike met MCD officials. During a meeting with the students, MCD Additional Commissioner Tariq Thomas admitted that the accident was MCD's and his personal failure. He said that we should have done our duty better as officers.
