Senior Correspondent, Ranchi. In 1986-87, a bench of Justice Sanjay Prasad of the Jharkhand High Court heard a petition filed by the Jharkhand High Court regarding the employment of displaced persons under the Swarnarega Multipurpose Scheme. During this, the court heard the arguments of the petitioners. Following this, the court took cognizance of the case and sent the Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Water Resources Department (now known as the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department), the Project Director of Rehabilitation and Land Acquisition and the Project Administrator. The body was ordered to remain in custody pending further investigation. The next hearing in the case will be held on September 6. Earlier, the petitioners informed the court that the State Government had acquired the land of the petitioners' family in Chandil for the Swarnarega Multi-Purpose Project in 1986-1987. Applicants are still waiting for the job. Despite the displacement, the state government has not given the benefit of the rehabilitation policy. A petition was filed on his behalf in the High Court regarding the year 1991. The High Court had ordered the state government to give them jobs as per the government policy. As the job was not available, the petition was filed again in 2001. The High Court had directed the state government to complete the cases of the applicants on priority basis. He filed a petition in the High Court for the third time in 2014 as he did not get an appointment. It is noted that a petition has been filed on behalf of the applicant Madan Gob and others seeking employment under the rehabilitation policy.
