Chinese ambassador trolled on social media for threatening a journalist in Nepal

Kathmandu, May 29 (Tezzbuzz). Nepal’s Chinese ambassador has faced trolling on social media after he openly threatened Nepal for tweeting about irregularities in the construction of Pokhara International Airport, which was built by a Chinese company.
Nepal’s senior economic affairs journalist Gajendra Budhathoki commented on Twitter (x) on Wednesday morning about the loan given by China for the construction of Pokhara Airport. He wrote that China is making a lot of noise about giving loan at an interest rate of two percent for the construction of Pokhara International Airport, but in reality it is charging an interest of five percent. After this post of Budhathoki, China’s ambassador to Kathmandu Chen Song immediately commented. He wrote that journalists are spreading confusion against China. If this is the case then they should present proof. On this comment of the Chinese ambassador, journalist Budhathoki wrote that he has the proof of this safely with him and will make it public when the time comes.
The Chinese ambassador did not stop here, he wrote to the journalist in a threatening tone that the journalist who spread such confusion should apologize publicly. On this threat of the Chinese ambassador, the journalist made public that part of the agreement between Nepal and China’s Exim Bank regarding Pokhara Airport in which the interest on the loan was mentioned. The journalist also wrote that the Chinese ambassador should stay within his limits.
After this incident, people are trolling the Chinese ambassador on social media. Most of the users are demanding an apology from the Chinese ambassador for his indecent behavior. Not only journalists but many political parties and common people have strongly reprimanded the Chinese ambassador. People demanded that the Nepal Foreign Ministry summon the Chinese ambassador and warn him to stay within limits.
