China has deployed its advanced J-20 fighter jet at Tibet airport. The J-20 fighter jet is the most advanced aircraft in the world. Its deployment has alerted the Indian Air Force.
China is once again trying to show its might to India. The Dragon has deployed its most advanced J-20 fighter jet at the airport in Tibet. China has taken such a step when there has been tension on the LAC for the last several years. New satellite images have revealed that the People’s Liberation Army-Air Force (PLAAF) has deployed six J-20 fighter jets at the Shigatse dual-use airport.
This airport is barely 155 km away from the LAC. It is close to Doklam near the Sikkim-Bhutan-Tibet tri-junction. Apart from this, several J-10 jets and a KJ-500 AEW&C (Airborne Early-Warning and Control) aircraft are already present there. Satellite images collected on the same day show that the fighter jets arrived at the air base on May 27.
China is strengthening its military bases on the border
Indian Air Force officials said that we are keeping an eye on this. It is possible that J-20 fighter jets are in Shigatse for high altitude tests. The PLAAF is regularly deploying J-20s at its airbases in the western region, such as Hotan airfield in Xinjiang, which is about 240 km from the LAC. China is strengthening its military bases on the border. It is deploying additional aircraft at its airbases on the Indian side in all three sectors of the 3,488 km long LAC stretching from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh.
China has now compensated for its air war losses due to the obstacles of high altitude terrain by deploying additional fighter jets, bombers, reconnaissance aircraft and drones after upgrading its airports such as Hotan, Kashgar, Gargunsa, Shigatse, Bangda, Nyingchi and Hoping. It is building accommodation for the army at its bases. It is building good runways.
Indian Air Force is ready
India is also prepared to deal with any kind of situation. Apart from the Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets based in Hasimara, Chabua and Tezpur in the eastern sector, the Indian Air Force also has a squadron (18 jets) of its Rafale omni-role jets deployed at Hasimara airbase in West Bengal, while another is stationed in Ambala for the western front with Pakistan.
