China could not defeat India even by using its army, so now it is making another devious move, a conspiracy to destroy the Northeast through 'water bomb'! Dam by China on Brahmaputra river will work like water bomb in North East Arunachal Pradesh and Assam of India says Australian Strategic Policy Institute ASPI
New Delhi. China continues to play devious tricks against India. The armies of both the countries are deployed face to face from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. China has not been able to defeat India in military confrontation so far. In such a situation, it is now preparing to bring destruction in India's northeast through 'water bomb'. Australia's Strategic Institute i.e. ASPI has revealed this trick of China. ASPI has revealed that China will now try to create havoc in India's northeast through floods and for this it is going to build a huge dam on the Brahmaputra river.
ASPI has informed that China is going to build a very huge dam at the place where the Brahmaputra river turns and enters India in the Chinese border. Before entering Arunachal Pradesh, the Brahmaputra river comes down from a height of 3000 meters at this place. According to ASPI, China has claimed that the dam to be built on the Brahmaputra river will be the world's largest hydroelectric power plant. From this, it can be understood how huge China's dam on the Brahmaputra river will be. By building a dam on the Brahmaputra river, China will be able to create a shortage of drinking water in a large part of India's Northeast by stopping water during summer and can also cause massive floods in the Brahmaputra by suddenly opening all the gates of the dam during the rainy season. According to ASPI, China's huge dam will be just 30 kilometers away from the Indian border. If water is released from it, it will work like a bomb and will pose a huge threat to Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
However, there is also an agreement between China and India on the issue of Brahmaputra River. Under this agreement made in the year 2002, China continuously shares information about the Brahmaputra River with India. This agreement was re-implemented in the years 2008, 2013 and 2018. The agreement is applicable for every 5 years. The agreement with China on the Brahmaputra River ended in 2023 and it has not been renewed yet. China now wants to take advantage of the expiry of this agreement. The reason for this is that there is a lot of tension between China and India since the year 2020.
