Chance of disaster for thieves in Wayanad… Victims said – We have lost everything
Many parts of the country are currently facing natural calamities. There are reports of many deaths and many families being torn apart, but even in these difficult times, those involved in crime have forgotten all bounds. Similar news is also coming out from Kerala's Wayanad, where people were saved from nature's fury, but people failed to save themselves from crime. On the morning of July 30, landslides occurred at several places in the Wayanad region of Kerala, creating a scene of disaster across the region. More than 300 people have died in this incident and many have gone missing. During the landslide, people from some villages fled their homes and escaped safely. When the atmosphere changed a little, everyone returned to their homes, only to find that all their belongings had been stolen. After losing everything in the disaster, people complained to the police. Thieves are taking advantage of the crisis in the state to carry out such activities. After receiving information about the theft, the police have intensified patrolling in vacant areas. People have appealed to the police to find the people involved in such incidents as soon as possible. A victim of the theft incident commented to the media that we have lost everything in this disaster. He said that there is a ban on the affected area and we all left our houses for safety and when we came back we found that the doors were broken. Apart from this, the victim said that after leaving their homes, they stayed at a resort where all their clothes were stolen. A police official said patrolling has been increased in the areas and movement of people has been restricted. He said that in the name of any mission or rescue operation, no person can go to the affected areas or any house without permission.
