CBI seized Rs 26.74 lakh from the houses of ECL officials in Goda.
CBI has seized Rs 26.74 lakh from the houses of Eastern Coal Fields Limited (ECL) officials who were arrested while accepting bribes. CBI arrested ICL Rajmahal Project Principal Manager Parameshwar Yadav, Deputy Manager Bipin Singh and Assistant Revenue Officer Pawankumar Mahato red-handed on May 20, who had accepted a bribe of Rs 75,000. Subsequently, the CBI raided the houses of these officials. During this, Rs 25.74 lakh cash and documents related to 2 plots were seized from the house of Deputy Manager Bipin Kumar. One lakh rupees in cash was seized from Pawan Kumar's house during the raid. It is noteworthy that Haider Ansari's house has been acquired for this project. In return, it was decided to give him a compensation of Rs.12 lakhs. The officer said that he demanded a bribe of Rs 6 lakh from Haider to release the compensation amount. CBI officials who received the complaint laid a trap and arrested the three officials red-handed. They planned to trap the accused officials. In this, Deputy Manager Vipin Kumar took Rs.25 thousand and Amin Pawan Kumar Mahato took Rs.50 thousand and were caught red-handed. The CBI said in a press release that Parameshwar Yadav has also been arrested in this case.
