Patna: The Election Commission has announced by-elections on 12 Rajya Sabha seats. Elections for two Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar are to be held on September 3.
Sandeep Paundrik, who has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of Energy Department in place of Sanjeev Hans, will be the new Steel Secretary of the country
Elections are to be held on these two seats due to the resignation of Misa Bharti and Vivek Thakur from Rajya Sabha. Misa Bharti from Patliputra and Vivek Thakur from Nawada resigned from Rajya Sabha after winning the Lok Sabha elections.
Voting will be held on 12 seats in 9 states
The notification for the by-election will be issued on August 14
Notification will be issued on 14th August
Nomination on August 21, scrutiny on August 22
Voting will be held on all seats on September 3
The results will be declared on September 3 itself
