Budget 2024: Mayawati unhappy with the budget, first reaction of UP Congress President Ajay Rai, know what he said

Lucknow. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the first Union Budget of the third term of the Modi government and the seventh consecutive Union Budget during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. The government treasury has been opened for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh in the budget. While presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big announcement regarding personal income tax. Meanwhile, reactions from opposition parties have started coming.
Mayawati raised questions
“The Union Budget presented in Parliament today, on the old pattern, is less about the hopes of 'good days' for the poor, the unemployed, the farmers, the women, the working class, the deprived and the neglected Bahujans of the country to get rid of their troubled lives, except for a handful of rich and wealthy people, and is more about disappointing them.”
He said, “There is a lack of reformist policy and intention in this new government towards the tremendous poverty, unemployment, inflation, backwardness prevailing in the country and the upliftment of more than 125 crore weaker sections and the basic facilities required for them. Will such provisions in the budget make the lives of people happy and prosperous? The development of the country and the upliftment of the people should not be a maze of figures, but everyone should collectively feel the basic progress like employment opportunities, money in pockets for spending, income to free the people from their troubled lives. Development of railways is also very important. The government should give work to every hand like the BSP government.”
Ajay Rai said- the government's secret will be revealed
On the budget, UP Congress president Ajay Rai said, “If the main points are revealed, the government's secret will be revealed. The government is wrong and is pretending… There is nothing in this budget and it is only misleading.”
Reaction of Congress MP Imran Masood
Congress MP Imran Masood said on the Union Budget, “This is a budget scared of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu… they have no vision of their own, they say a lot, now we have to see how they will implement it…”
