After reaching Chennai and paying tribute to K. Armstrong, Mayawati said that the real culprits have not been arrested yet. Mayawati said that some people have been arrested just for the sake of formality. Mayawati said that we demand from the state government that it recommends a CBI inquiry into the murder of K. Armstrong, so that the real culprits can be caught. The BSP supremo said that this is not a matter of the murder of a Dalit leader. She said that the entire Dalit community is in danger and all Dalit leaders are scared. Mayawati said that the state government is not serious about this murder case. If the case is not handed over to the CBI, it means that it is also complicit in the murder of K. Armstrong.

BSP supremo Mayawati said that I urge the state government and especially the CM to make the weaker sections feel safe. K. Armstrong was murdered on July 5 by 6 bike riders who attacked him with knives and sickles. 4 of them were disguised as food delivery agents. The police have arrested 8 people in this case. Mayawati went to Chennai with her nephew Akash Anand to pay tribute to K. Armstrong. It is clear from Mayawati's statement that in the coming days, politics in Tamil Nadu may heat up on the issue of Dalit oppression and murder. The special thing is that DMK's ally Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also expressed grief over the murder of K. Armstrong. BJP also seems to be standing with BSP in this matter.
