Britain agreed … Hindu is the most conscious of environment
Faith in God takes you closer to nature, but your responsibility towards the environment can depend on your religion. According to a UK report, people who believe in Hinduism are more concerned about the environment. A research by the Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life (IIFL) has revealed that followers of Hinduism play a more active role in environmental protection than other religions.
Major conclusions of C's research
IIFL conducted a survey on followers of three major religions Christians, Muslims and Hindus in the UK. It was found that 64% of Hindu contribute to reviving the ecosystem. At the same time, 78% of Hindu environmental improvements are adopted in their lives and 44% of Hindus are associated with some environmental organization.
Although 92% of Muslims and 82% Christians believe that their religion talks about protecting the environment, but in their behavior, there are less evidence of this. Interestingly, 31% of Christians rejected problems such as climate change.
Hinduism involvement with environment
British Hindu Bansari Ruparel connects this report to the karma theory of Hinduism. She says that according to Hindu belief, a person gets the fruits of his actions and this thinking makes Hindus more sensitive towards environmental protection.
The report also revealed that the younger generation is more aware of this subject. 46% of young people accept the deep relationship between God and nature, while only 17% of the age of 65 agree with this idea. It is clear from this that the new generation is taking environmental protection more seriously.
