Brahmin Face, Rohtak Link… Why Mohan Lal Patoli Takes Haryana BJP Command?

20 hours after Nayab Singh Saini met JP Natta, the Bharatiya Janata Party appointed its president in Haryana. Roy, Sonipat MLA Mohan Lal Patoli will take over as the next president of Haryana BJP. After Nayab Singh Saini became the chief minister, at least 11 candidates contested for the post of BJP president in Haryana, but the party eventually approved only Badoli's name. Patoli is a first-time MLA. Badoli has been appointed with less than 3 months to go in Haryana, but the big question is why did the party ignore 11 contenders and appoint Badoli as the president? Why only Mohanlal Badoli got the chair, 3 reasons 1. Brahmin face, upper caste votes Mohanlal Badoli belongs to Brahmin community. The population of this community is about 8 percent in Haryana. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP gave tickets to two members of this community, but both lost. One was Mohanlal himself from Sonipat. According to CSDS, 30 per cent voters from the upper caste community voted for the Congress this time, which is 12 per cent more than the last election. The BJP has certainly secured 66 per cent votes from this community, but 8 per cent less than in the last election. Apart from the Brahmins, the Rajput community constitutes 3.5 percent of the upper caste community in Haryana. 2. Haryana has 6 divisions in total if we look at the division from Barauli to Rohtak in simple area wise. 4 districts in Ambala division (Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panchkula and Yamunanagar), 3 districts in Faridabad division (Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat), 3 districts in Gurugram division (Gurugram, Mahendragarh and Rewari), 4 districts in Hisar division (Bandahabad, G). , Hisar and Sirsa), Rohtak Division comprises 4 districts (Jajjar, Sarki Dadri, Rohtak and Sonipat) and Karnal Division comprises 3 districts (Karnal, Panipat and Kaithal). Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini hails from Ambala division. Whereas, in the Modi government, 3 ministers have been sworn in from the Haryana quota. These include Manohar Lal Khattar (Colonel), Rao Inderjit Singh (Gurugram) and Krishnapal Singh Gurjar (Baritabad). In such a situation, there were now only two divisions, which did not have a large share in power or organization. BJP has tried to capture Rotakh region through Patoli. 3. Having worked with Saini, the experience of the organization is also a big reason for Patoli becoming the president. Badoli became a first-time MLA in 2019, at which time he was given the charge of Sonipat district. He was appointed as the state general secretary of the party in 2021. Here he worked with Naib Singh Saini. Saini's veto to become President is also said to have given way. Assembly elections in Haryana are just a few months away. In such a situation, the government was looking for such a face in the organization that would not have difficulty in integration. Will Hisar get a seat in the Rajya Sabha? One Rajya Sabha post is also vacant in the state as Dipendra Hooda went to the Rajya Sabha. There is talk that this constituency will go to the BJP in the by-elections. Earlier, the leaders of Rohtak division claimed this constituency, but now after the presidency from here, the claim of the leaders of Hisar division will get stronger.
