BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition launched in the Indian market, know the price and features
Car News Desk,BMW India has launched the new 2 Series 220i M Sport Shadow Edition. It is priced at Rs. 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new offering joins the brand's portfolio along with the recently launched BMW X3 Shadow Edition, which brings a great upgrade to the brand's entry-level luxury sedan.
Design and colour optionsIn terms of upgrades, the special edition features blacked-out elements on the exterior including a kidney grille, dark inlays within the adaptive LED headlamps, a black boot-lip spoiler and floating BMW hub caps on all four wheels. The BMW 220i M Sport Shadow is available in two colour options – Alpine White and Skyscraper Grey. The M Sport package comes as standard on the car and adds features like side grilles, M aerodynamics package and M badging on the key with black inserts.
Features and Interior The cabin of the special edition has also been upgraded. It has electrically adjustable sports seats with memory function and illuminated Berlin interior. Carbon-fibre finish on the gear selector and lighting with 6 selectable colours further enhance the look. The interior is upholstered in black and oyster colour combination. Other features include features like 12.3-inch digital instrument console, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, BMW virtual assistant, gesture control, wireless charging and park assist. This luxury sedan also has safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, DSC, traction control and ISOFIX anchorage.
Engine and Performance The BMW 2 Series Shadow Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine that produces 187 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission that powers the front wheels. The model can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.
Booking Details BMW has opened online bookings for the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition and the model will be available in limited numbers. The new 2 Series Gran Coupe Shadow Edition is around Rs 3 lakh more expensive than the standard equivalent variant and will be locally assembled at the automaker's Chennai facility.
