Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s Party Initiates Talks with Imran Khan
Islamabad, July 29 (Read) — The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has initiated talks with the imprisoned former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan. In a statement, the party expressed its readiness to engage in discussions with the former Prime Minister if he is willing.
Senior PPP leader Khurshid Shah, speaking to the media in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, mentioned that there are indications that the PTI founder is willing to engage in talks. Shah welcomed this possibility, describing it as a positive development. He stated, “If Imran Khan is ready for dialogue, it is a positive sign.”
According to the newspaper ‘Express Tribune,’ Shah highlighted that former President Asif Ali Zardari has always tried to resolve issues through dialogue, and the PPP will play its role when needed.
The PPP’s willingness to collaborate with Khan’s party comes amid increased political instability following PTI’s hard stance against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government.
