Bihar: Will JTU's new 'RCB Singh' Manish Verma become Nitish Kumar's political successor?

A retired officer is set to enter Bihar politics. Retired IAS Manish Kumar Verma is all set to start his political journey with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, for which he will become a member of the JTU on Tuesday. Manish Kumar Verma is being called JDU's new RCB Singh as he hails from chief minister Nitish's home district of Nawada and belongs to the Gurmi community. Apart from being very loyal and native to Nitish Kumar, RCB Singh is also very close to him as was once assumed. Ramachandra Prasad Singh (RCB Singh), a bureaucrat-turned-politician, took the reins of the JTU by holding the finger of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and progressed in politics. RCP Singh and Nitish Kumar belong to the same district, Nalanda, and belong to the same caste, the Gurmi community. Under such circumstances, the friendship between the two leaders deepened and the RCP soon became Nitish's eyes, nose and ears. At one time, he was second only to Nitish in the JDU and was also the party leader, but when he started searching for his political identity separate from Nitish, it was not too late to show him the way. Manish Kumar Verma to replace RCB Singh: Chief minister Nitish Kumar has found form in Manish Kumar Verma as a replacement for RCB Singh. Manish Verma was also an IAS like RCB Singh. He is a resident of Nalanda and belongs to the Gurmi tribe of Nitish Kumar. He has been District Magistrate of Patna and Purnia. After taking VRS, Manish Verma has been working as an additional advisor to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the past several years. Now he has resigned and is planning to join the political arena with JDU. For this we will formally join JDU as a member. Manish Kumar Verma has been working with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the past few years. Although JTU is not seen from the front foot in politics, it is doing the work of putting all the pieces from the back door. At a time when the political chessboard is being set for the Bihar assembly elections, Manish Kumar has entered politics. So the entry of Manish Verma in JTU is considered significant. It is also being discussed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may give him some key responsibilities in view of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Manish Kumar Verma, an IAS officer of 2000 batch Odisha cadre, started his career from Odisha. He became an IAS officer of Odisha cadre in 2000. He first assumed office as Sub Collector in Kalahandi, Odisha. After this, he held the post of STM in Khunpur and Raigarh. After five years of service, he became Malkangiri district DM for the first time. As of 2012, many districts of Odisha have T.M. But in 2012 he decided to come to Bihar for 5 years on inter-state deputation. As soon as he came to Bihar, Manish Verma got close to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and because of this he got a key responsibility. After serving as District Magistrate of Patna and Purnia, he was Secretary to the Chief Minister. Working with Nitish after leaving the job: When Manish Verma completed his five-year deputation tenure on March 23, 2018, the Appointments Committee of the Government of India ordered his return to Odisha. After this, Manish Kumar Verma refused to go back, took VRS and left the job. Nitish nominated Manish Kumar Verma as a member of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority in the Government of Bihar, Nitish later appointed Nitish Kumar as an additional advisor to K Kumar. Now Verma has decided to take his political innings forward with JTU, who is also being touted as Nitish Kumar's successor. Will Manish Kumar replace RCB Singh? After the RCB joined the BJP, Nitish Kumar sought the face of the Gurmi community in the JDU. In such a situation, before the assembly elections, Nitish has used the strategy of giving a political message by bringing Manish Verma from his own district, who belongs to the Kurmi race, into the political arena. In such a situation, how Manish Kumar will blossom politically, we have to wait and see?
