Bihar by-election: Who will win the Rupali assembly by-election? Direct competition between JDU and RJD
Bihar politics is heating up over the Rupali assembly by-election. Polling for this constituency is scheduled to take place on July 10 (Wednesday). JD(U) has fielded candidate from Kaladar Mandal in Rupali Assembly by-election under Purnia Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, RJD has nominated Bhima Bharti who left JTU and joined RJD as its candidate. Many senior leaders including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were present here in support of the JTU candidate. Here, along with Tejasavi Yadav, senior RJD leaders held Bhima Bharti's election campaign rally. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav urged people to vote in favor of insurance recruitment. According to the social equation, around 21 teams from both sides were fielded here. It includes people representing all sections of society. They appealed to the voters to vote in favor of their respective candidates. RJD fielded all MLAs for panchayat-wise election campaign in support of its candidate Bhima Bharti. In the 2020 assembly elections, Rupali constituency went to JTU, from where Bhima Bharti won the election and reached the assembly. Later, Bhima Bharti resigned from the JTU and as an MLA and joined the RJD. RJD fielded him as Purnia Lok Sabha candidate. A by-election is being held for the vacant seat due to his resignation.
