Big relief to Arvind Kejriwal: Supreme Court grants interim bail in ED case, will remain in jail for now
Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got a big relief from the Supreme Court on Friday. The court has granted him interim bail in the liquor scam case. But his arrest by the ED has been handed over to a larger bench of the Supreme Court.

Even after getting relief from the Supreme Court, Kejriwal will not be able to come out of jail because he is currently in the custody of the CBI. The Supreme Court has referred the case of the petition challenging the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor scam case to a larger bench. Now a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court will hear Kejriwal's petition.
On the Supreme Court granting interim bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his lawyer Rishikesh Kumar said, “The Supreme Court has today granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal and the issue of section 19 and necessity of arrest has been referred to a larger bench. Chief Minister Kejriwal will remain in custody as his bail in the CBI case is still pending.”
