Banks will remain closed for 14 days in the month of May, this is the complete list of holidays
The month of May will start with holidays. There will be no work in banks this month due to 14 days holiday. Due to various reasons, banks will remain closed for a total of 8 days at different places in the country. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays in May. However, online and ATM services of banks will remain operational during this period.
According to the holiday calendar released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there will be no work in banks due to holidays for a total of 14 days in May. This includes a weekly holiday of four Sundays and 2 days Saturday. Apart from this, banks will remain closed for other six days due to regional festivals, Lok Sabha elections and national festivals. However, in the era of digital banking, you can transact money through online banking and ATM despite bank holidays.

-There will be a holiday in banks across Maharashtra on the occasion of Maharashtra Day on 1st May.
-There will be no work in banks on 5th May due to weekly holiday of Sunday.
-Banks will remain closed in different states on May 7 due to the third phase of Lok Sabha voting.
-There will be a holiday in banks on 8th May on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
-Banks will remain closed on 10th May on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
-There will be a bank holiday on 11th May due to Saturday holiday.
-Banks will remain closed on 12th May, the second Sunday due to weekly holiday.
-Banks will remain closed in different states on the occasion of the fourth phase of Lok Sabha voting on May 13.
