Balance between ruling and opposition on Ram Mandir, will BJP win Faizabad seat again?

Live Hindi News :- It is expected that the Ram Mandir will garner massive support for the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, the area of Ayodhya where the Ram Mandir is built is included in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency. Voting for this seat was held on May 20. Will the BJP win here again? What are the changes?

What is the status of the batch? – There are a total of 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Many people are looking into who is likely to win the Faizabad seat. It was a simple block and the reason for it coming into light was the Ram temple built there.
Faizabad and Ram Mandir! – When the BJP came to power for the second time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple in 2020 based on the decision given by the Supreme Court in 2019. The construction work which lasted for about 4 years was completed in 2024 and opened in January. It is true that the temple which was opened before the elections was said to strengthen the Hindu votes of the BJP.

Will BJP's plan work? – BJP's Lalu Singh has been the MP from this seat since 2014. This time too he is representing the party. When he contested the election in 2014, he got 4,91,663 votes and won by a margin of about 2,82,698 votes. But in the 2019 elections, BJP candidate Lalu Singh won by securing 5,29,021 votes. Samajwadi Party stood second with 4,63,544 votes. It is worth noting that BJP had won by a margin of just 64,926 votes.
This time again Lalu Singh is in the fray from BJP. Awadhesh Prasad from Samajwadi Party and Sachchidanand Pandey from Bahujan Samaj Party are in the fray. In such a situation, BJP is aiming to win this seat again. Last time BJP won by a small margin. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Ayodhya 3 times in the last 6 months, he realized that this time the contest would be tough. Apart from this, Yogi Adityanath also campaigned actively.
The construction of the Ram temple has developed the business of the people of the region. It is also being said that the price of land and livelihood of the people has seen a boom. Therefore, the BJP is confident that this change will get it the votes of the local people. That is why, whenever Modi comes to UP, while campaigning in public meetings, he says, “If Congress comes to power, it will demolish the Ram temple.” All these years he campaigned for the construction of the Ram temple. Now he is campaigning that if Congress builds it, it will also demolish it.

But questions are being asked whether these campaigns will lead the BJP to victory again in this constituency. The reason is that after the construction of Ram Mandir, the BJP-led state government launched projects worth Rs 32,000 crore in the Ayodhya area alone. Notably, plans are being made to build railway facilities, airports, housing and infrastructure like small cities under the Ayodhya Development Authority.
However, there are many allegations and discontent against the BJP for not paying full compensation for the land taken from the people for these projects and forcibly occupying the land. Apart from this, the constituency also has a considerable Muslim population. People are angry over the non-construction of the mosque as per the Supreme Court order. However, even after 10 years, basic facilities have not started in the assembly constituency and many problems like unemployment are there in the assembly constituency. Therefore, most of the Muslim and Hindu votes are also predicted to be anti-BJP.
BJP is confident that Ram Mandir will get them votes. But it is being said that this aspect will be a setback for BJP. The opposition hopes that the discontent of this constituency will be seen in many constituencies. That is why BJP is campaigning that it will not come to power for the third time.
Notably, the region was predicted to be in favour of the BJP in the first four phases of the election. However, it is also worth noting that the question of whether the BJP will gain power began to arise only after the 5th phase of the election, including the Faizabad constituency, was voted on May 20. Thus, the inauguration of the Ram temple has brought both support and opposition to the BJP in the constituency. But whether the percentage of support is higher or the percentage of opposition is higher will be known at the end of the election.
