Aurangabad Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Bihar's Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, known as Mini Chittorgarh, has a key contest between NDA-backed Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and outgoing MP Sushil Kumar Singh and Grand Alliance's RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha. RJD's Kumar Sinha is currently leading in the early stages of counting of votes. BJP's Sushil Kumar Singh is second. Bahujan Samaj Party's Sunesh Kumar is third. Talking about the Aurangabad constituency, the main contest is between NDA's BJP candidate Sushil Kumar Singh and Grand Alliance's RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha. Sushil Kumar Singh has been winning continuously since 2009. He contested from JTU in 2009 and BJP in 2014 and 2019. There are 3 independent candidates from here in this election. In the 1952 general elections, only Rajput candidates have won from the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, which has been labeled as a Naxal-affected district. Because the number of Rajput voters is high here. The Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat is considered to be dominated by the family of Satyendra Narayan Singh from Bihar. From the first general election to 1984, he won successive elections here on behalf of the Congress. Sushil Kumar Singh has been winning elections since 2009. Then in 1989, Janata Dal's Ram Naresh Singh stopped Satyendra Narayan Singh from winning. Ram Naresh Singh won two consecutive elections from here. After this, in 1996, Janata Dal's Virendra Singh won from here. In 1998 Samatha Party won. But in 1999 Congress won again under the leadership of Shaima Singh. In 2004, Nikhil Kumar won on behalf of the Congress. After this, Sushil Kumar Singh won from here first as a JTU candidate in 2009 and then as a BJP candidate in 2014 and 2019.
