Arpita Mukherjee: Arpita Mukherjee's troubles seem to be increasing after she was arrested by Central Intelligence Agency officials in the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam case. The Income Tax department wants to investigate Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of former state education minister Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested in the recruitment scam case. Sources of the money recovered from his house and all the information like why so much money was kept in the house can be sought, reports said. Arpita is currently lodged in the Alipore Women's Reformatory. It seems that he will be interrogated there. In this regard, the Income Tax Department has obtained permission from the Special ED Court, Kolkata. The court has also granted permission to interrogate Arpita. According to sources, the Income Tax department's benami property wing wants to question Arpita Mukhopadhyay about income tax returns and benami transactions. ED has reportedly arrested Parth's close aide Arpita Mukherjee in the teacher appointment scam case. Several crores of rupees were recovered from Arpita's two flats. It has also been found that the name of the non-Congress Deputy Speaker belongs to Chatterjee, who Mamata Banerjee spoke to Didi on phone. Arpita Mukhopadhyay, who was arrested in the teacher recruitment scam case, is currently undergoing investigation at the Women's Reformatory in Alipore. After reaching there, the officials of Benami Property Division of Income Tax Department are going to investigate him.
