All variants of Taigun and Virtus in India can get 6 airbags, the company gave important information
Auto News Desk,German premium carmaker Volkswagen India on Monday said it will offer six airbags across all variants of its 5-star Global NCAP (GNCAP) safety-rated Taigun and Virtus models. Since the launch of India 2.0 product portfolio, the company said it has been constantly enhancing its product offerings and expanded its variant line-up keeping in mind the customer demand for its cars in India.
While the subcompact crossover SUV Taigun was launched in India in September 2021, the theme-sized sedan Virtus was launched in March 2022. Our portfolio of India 2.0 cars will offer six airbags as standard across the entire line-up. With this we are showing our commitment to safe mobility. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “We are also pleased to see Taigun and Virtus (since their introduction) achieving the 1 lakh plus sales milestone.” Recently Volkswagen India has introduced two new variants of Taigun GT Line with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine and GT Plus Sport with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol option.
Skoda India has increased the prices of both its models marginally with the update, while Volkswagen has not changed the prices. In fact, the entry-level Comfortline trim of the Taigun is available at a special offer price of Rs 10.99 lakh, which is Rs 70,000 less than the usual; this offer is applicable for a limited time only. The price of Taigun is more than Rs 20 lakh. At the same time, the price of Virtus is between Rs 11.56 lakh and Rs 19.41 lakh.
