Alia Bhatt Calls Deepika, Aishwarya And Priyanka Her ‘Source Of Inspiration’ At Forbes’ Event: ‘They Paved The Way’

She recently attended an event for Forbes magazine where she praised Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for paving the way for other Indian actors globally. Alia, who recently became the global brand ambassador of Gucci, called the actresses her ‘inspiration’ and said that she admires them a lot.

Expressing her admiration for Priyanka, Deepika and Aishwarya, Alia said, “Actresses from the Indian film industry have done that and are huge sources of inspiration to me. Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, and Deepika, these are actors who are friends of mine but whom I also admire deeply. I have to give them a lot of credit because they paved the way in a sense. You know, made it a normal thing.”

On the work front, Alia will next star in ‘Jigra’ along with Vedang Raina. Announcing the film, Alia wrote, “Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward.
