ADMK 'defeats' in first test after Lok Sabha polls, by-election results raise tensions
Results for 13 seats in 7 states are out. In this, Congress has won 4 out of 5 seats in 2 states, Trinamool Congress has won 4 seats in Bengal and Aam Aadmi Party has won 1 seat in Punjab. At the same time, the BJP has suffered a major setback in this by-election. The party managed to win only 2 seats including Hamirpur in Himachal. Whereas in Bihar's Rupali, both the JD(U) and RJD have lost. Independent candidate Shankar Singh has won here. DMK won Vikravandi constituency in Tamil Nadu. In the first litmus test after the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has won only 2 out of 13 seats in 7 states. Whereas the opposition parties have won 10 seats. An independent candidate has won Bihar's Rupali constituency. Overall, it can be assumed that the DMK coalition has suffered a major defeat in this by-election. Even as the Indian coalition parties contested against each other in some seats, the BJP did not benefit. Did the bypoll results increase BJP's anxiety? Assembly by-election results of 7 states have increased BJP's anxiety. On the one hand, the BJP could not get a majority in the Lok Sabha, but on the other hand, the party suffered a major setback due to its massive defeat in the Assembly. BJP managed to win only 2 seats in the by-elections, whereas BJP lost all the 3 seats it won in the 2021 assembly elections in Bengal. Talking about Bihar, both NDA and All India have failed here. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's magic or 5-time MLA Bhima Bharati could not show anything special in Rupali. What are the equations of the previous 13 places? Out of these 13 seats in the states, BJP won 3 seats in Bengal. 2 seats were won by Congress and 8 seats by others. Both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress have benefited the most in the by-elections to these constituencies. Congress has fielded candidates in 8 out of 13 seats and the party has won 5 seats. Meanwhile, Mamata Didi's dominance in Bengal remains intact. His party has won the by-elections in all the four constituencies of the state. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party has managed to retain its seat in Punjab, while the most shocking result was in Bihar's Rupali constituency, where independent candidate Shankar Singh tasted defeat to RJD's Bhima Bharti and JDU's Kaladar Mandal. Big blow for BJP in Bengal: BJP won Ranagat South, Bagda and Raiganj constituencies in Bengal in 2021 assembly elections, but now the party has to face defeat in these three seats. By-elections were held for these three constituencies in Bengal as BJP MLAs resigned and joined Trinamool Congress. In the by-election for two of them, D.M.K. Give it a chance and succeed. Strong message for defectors: In the by-elections, defectors fared badly in all states except Bengal. By-elections were held in three constituencies in Himachal as independent MLAs resigned and joined the BJP, but the BJP managed to win only one. At the same time, turncoats have lost in Uttarakhand's Badrinath constituency and Punjab's Jalandhar constituency. Similarly, Bhima Bharti, who was a 5-time MLA from Rupali constituency in Bihar, has been taught a hard lesson by the public. In the Lok Sabha elections, he faced defeat in the Purnia constituency, while in the Assembly elections, his performance was even worse. Bhima Bharti, who left the JDU and joined the RJD, stood 3rd in the by-elections.
