Under this Act, a Special Officer (Additional Collector level) will be appointed by the State Government in each district where the Petiya Raj properties are located, to manage the properties of Petiya Raj, within 60 days of its implementation. This Act shall decide within next 90 days after due hearing on the objections received in respect of the properties. An appeal against the decision of the Special Officer may be filed with the Collector within 30 days from the date of passing the decision. The Collector will hear the appeal and issue an order within 30 days. A person aggrieved by the decision of the Collector can file a revision petition in the Board of Revenue within 30 days. After the coming into force of this Act, the entire responsibility of Petiya Raj's properties will come to the District Collector concerned.
