A chance to show strength amidst the crooked tactics of the 'own men', will Chief Minister Yogi pacify everyone?
Everything seems fine when the results are in your favor, but when the results go against you, flaws and weaknesses start to surface. A similar incident is happening in UP. In the Lok Sabha elections, the party won only 33 seats in the state. There is an uproar in the party as to how the performance was so bad. Some party leaders are questioning Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership. Leaders who keep their mouths shut come out in the open. Talks of lack of coordination between the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers also started in the political circles. It is also said that the two Deputy Chief Ministers were missing from Yogi Adityanath's meetings. These things show that Yogi Adityanath has become weak after the Lok Sabha election results. But amidst the opposition in the party, Yogi Adityanath also has an opportunity to show his strength. He may show strength in the upcoming assembly by-elections. By-elections for 10 assembly constituencies are going to be held in the state. At present 5 of these seats are in NDA's court and 5 in Samajwadi's court. If the BJP does well in these 10 seats, obviously Yogi Adityanath will gain strength and the opponents who are now outspoken will be largely silenced. Bhulpur, Khair, Ghaziabad, Majwan, Mirapur, Milkipur, Karhal, Kadehari and Gundargi and Chisamau are holding by-elections. Apart from Chisama, MLAs from the remaining 9 constituencies have won the Lok Sabha elections and become MPs, while the Chisamau constituency is vacant due to cancellation of SP leader Irfan Solanki's membership. Chief Minister Yogi with BJP leader JP Nadda (photo-PTI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also knows that the by-polls are a good opportunity to appease opponents. This is why he is taking action. He has also called a meeting of ministers on Wednesday. Chief Minister Yogi will seek the opinion of the ministers regarding the election preparations. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi held a meeting on June 30 in which he imposed the duty of ministers in the by-election. Out of the 10 by-elections, 5 constituencies are considered Samajwadi strongholds and the challenge is to break the Samajwadi stronghold. These seats are Garhal, Gundargi, Kattari, Sisamau and Milkipur. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is the MLA from Karhal constituency. Now he has become an MP. He won the Kannaj constituency and entered the Lok Sabha. Whereas, Milkipur constituency falls under Ayodhya. Avadesh Prasad was MLA here for 9 times. This seat fell vacant after he became MP. Qatari Ambedkar is the seat of the city. SP's Lalji Verma was the MLA from here. He became MP from Ambedkarnagar Lok Sabha Constituency. Gundargi Constituency falls under Moradabad. It is Muslim dominated. It is considered as the fort of SP. Ziaur Rehman Warg was the MLA from here but this time he won the Sambal Lok Sabha seat and became the MP. Dealing with 'own people' is also a challenge, however, UP, BJP and Yogi Adityanath have to sort it all out before the by-elections. He must take care of his own people. Attention should be paid to any leaders whose statements may be influential. Things need to be sorted out between the organization and the government. This is because Deputy Chief Minister Kesav Prasad Maurya had said that UP BJP is an organization above the government. No person or government can be bigger than the corporation. And referring to the workers, he said, “We also feel your pain.” When Keshav Maurya said this, there was loud applause, but his address also raised questions. However, in the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi also gave a message to the workers for the by-elections. Chief Minister Yogi said UP's defeat in the Lok Sabha elections was a failure of overconfidence. “We cannot face opposition parties using social media,” he said. He gave this task to the leaders and workers that everyone should show their strength in the by-elections. CM Yogi's credibility in question: The by-elections have questioned the credibility of BJP and Yogi Adityanath. A win will act as a salve for defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, Chief Minister Yogi has asked the ministers to be determined to register a victory anyway. At the same time, as the dates of by-elections are going to be announced soon, the competition for tickets has also started in BJP. The MLA-turned-MP leader tries to buy a ticket for his family member. Many former MPs and MLAs are in the race for the ticket.
