A major accident took place in the Bagmati river in Khagaria, Bihar today. Here a boat collided with an electric pole in the strong current of the river. The collision was so strong that the boat sank in the river. There were about 24 people on the boat. After this accident, people started drowning in the river. Some of them swam out, while some people were rescued by the local people. However, three are still missing. The SDRF team is searching for the missing people in the river.
The incident took place at Khiraniya Ghat in Mansi police station area. An eyewitness told that the people on the boat were going to the outskirts of Amba. They were going there to pluck parwal from their farm. Meanwhile, the boat went out of control in the strong current of the Bagmati river and collided with an electric pole. People did not get a chance to recover.

When the boat hit the pole, people started screaming and more people came on one side of the boat. Due to this, the balance of the boat got disturbed and the boat sank in just a few seconds. However, some people knew how to swim. They not only saved their lives but also pulled out some other drowning people from the water.

There was chaos at the river bank
Some youths standing on the ghat jumped into the water to save the drowning people. The youths pulled out many drowning people. According to eyewitnesses, three people on the boat are still missing. One of them is a woman. As soon as the information was received, the SDRF team reached the spot. The police of Mansi police station has also reached the spot. There is an atmosphere of chaos on the river ghat. Local people told that there is a farm on the other side of the river, where farmers do farming. Cultivation of Parwal gives more profit, so farmers cultivate it near the river.
