The Union Cabinet on Friday approved a plan to build a 4-lane expressway from Kumla to Patalgaon under the National Expressway. The construction of this 4-lane expressway for a distance of about 155 km will cost Rs 4,473 crore. Apart from this, the Union Cabinet has also approved 7 more High Speed ​​Corridor projects. These include the 6-lane expressway from Agra in Uttar Pradesh to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, the Ayodhya Ring Road and the Kanpur Ring Road, the 4-lane expressway from Kharagpur to Morgram in West Bengal and the Tarat-Desa-Mehsana. A 6-lane highway has been constructed between Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. According to an official statement released by the government, these 8 projects will cost Rs 50,655 crore. Around 4.42 crore man-days of employment will be created through implementation of these projects.
