Yodha box office collection day 1: Sidharth Malhotra’s patriotic thriller earns less than Rs 5 crore on opening day
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre directorial earned Rs 4.25 crore. Yodha also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna, and is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Yodha witnessed a total occupancy of 13.86 percent on Friday. In Mumbai, where there were 589 shows, the occupancy was 15.5 percent, and in Delhi-NCR, with 693 shows, the occupancy was 14.25 percent.
Sidharth Malhotra starrer released alongside Bastar: The Naxal Story but amongst the two, Yodha outperformed as Bastar could manage to make only Rs 50 lakh. Yodha is, however, facing tough competition from Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan which has crossed Rs 100 crore mark globally

Sidharth Malhotra hasn’t had a hit in theatres since 2016’s Kapoor & Sons, which made Rs 73.29 crore at the box office. The film also starred Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt, Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak and Rajat Kapoor. His last acclaimed film was 2021’s Shershaah, which released on Amazon Prime Video. Sidharth got a lot of love for Shershah but since it released during the lockdown, the actor could not experience a box office hit.
In theatres, Sidharth’s last release was 2022’s Thank God, which only made Rs 34.89 crore, as per Bollywood Hungama. His 2019 film Marjaavaan, which released before the pandemic, could only make Rs 47.78 crore during its run. In the same year, his film Jabariya Jodi made Rs 16.33 crore. His 2018 film Aiyaary could only collect Rs 18.22 crore
Sidharth made his digital debut with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force, earlier this year.
