Holashtak 2024: Get Blessed By The Divine Power And Calm Your Navgraha By Following These Measures

This is because, during this period, all the planets remain in a fierce form, the effects of which are noticeable to people.

To counter the inauspicious effects of the planets, it is considered best to worship the Gods and Goddesses, especially during these days. During this time, a person should engage in as many bhajans and Vedic rituals as possible to seek relief from all troubles. By taking these religious measures during Holashtak, one can protect oneself from the adverse effects of prevailing negative energies.

Shiva Worship
According to religious belief, worshipping Lord Shiva helps remove all kinds of negativity and shields you from the impact of evil energies. By worshipping Lord Shiva during these days, all nine planets are pacified. By chanting “Om Namah Shivay” and “Mahamrityunjaya Mantra” during Holashtak, one finds relief from various diseases and defects, ensuring good health and happiness. Rudrabhishek should also be performed during these days.

Draw a Swastika
During Holashtak, negative energy is believed to be prevalent around you, which is in a dominant mode. The Swastika is said to have the power to remove all obstacles and troubles from your life. During Holashtak, one should grind turmeric rice, add some Ganga water to it, and draw a Swastika or Om on your main door. Alternatively, one can take five colored gulal, mix them, and make Swastikas on both sides of the main door. Doing this prevents any negative energy from entering the house.

Fumigate to remove negativity
If one is experiencing troubles in their family life, with continuous conflict between family members, fumigating the entire house with Guggal and camphor in a cow dung pot during the eight days of Holashtak can provide relief from the prevalent negative energy. This practice can help restore happiness and peace within the family.

Worship Lord Narasimha
The tradition of worshipping Lord Narasimha during the eight days before Holi is also mentioned in scriptures. It is believed to eliminate diseases and defects from one’s life. During these days, worship of Lord Vishnu and Shri Krishna is especially emphasized in the Puranas. Reciting Gopal and Vishnu Sahastranam during Holashtak fulfills all wishes. Additionally, taking a daily bath during Holashtak and worshipping and remembering the Narasimha incarnation of Lord Vishnu can provide relief from life’s biggest problems.
