Hyderabad. Anti-Naxal campaign is going on at a rapid pace in all the states of the country. Under this operation, police have killed 7 Naxalites in an encounter in Mulugu district of Telangana. Mulugu SP Dr. Shabarish said that there was an encounter between the police and Naxalites in the forest of Ethurungaram. In which till the last news was received, 7 Naxalites have been confirmed dead. The encounter was going on between the police and Naxalites here. A large number of weapons have been recovered from the slain Naxalites. Naxalites have spread terror in many districts of Bihar besides Telangana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand for decades. Now the government is taking rapid action to eradicate them.
Recently, CRPF's Cobra Commando squads have conducted several anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. During this period, more than 2 dozen Naxalites have been killed in encounters. A large number of weapons including AK-47 have been recovered in the recent anti-Naxal action in Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already announced that Naxalites will be eliminated at any cost by the year 2026. Due to the forceful action of the security forces, Naxalites have been almost wiped out in Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha. There are some Naxalites left in Maharashtra. Whereas, CRPF's Cobra commandos keep taking part in anti-Naxal operations every day in Chhattisgarh.
There was a time when Naxalites had strong influence in many states. Modi government along with the action of security forces to break the back of Naxalites, also accelerated the development work in the affected areas. This has also increased people's trust in the government system. Now local people also give information to the government about the locations of Naxalites and their movements. Whereas, earlier this did not happen and Naxalites used to damage government property and kill policemen as well as common people. The influence of Naxalites had increased so much that they even killed many senior Congress leaders including the former CM of Madhya Pradesh.
