Rahul Gandhi accused PM Narendra Modi, said- discriminated against Wayanad landslide victims
Kozhikode: After winning the by-election from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today reached Kerala on a two-day visit with her brother and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. As per their scheduled programme, both the leaders are addressing a public meeting at Mukkam in Thiruvambady assembly constituency of Kozhikode district. During this, in his speech, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress and UDF should put pressure on the state government to help the Wayanad landslide victims.
Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi has come to Kerala for the first time after the victory of his sister and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. After reaching the destination, Rahul Gandhi along with his sister started his speech by paying tribute to the victims of landslide during the public meeting. He said his party and the United Democratic Front (UDF) stand with those who have lost their family members, properties in the Wayanad landslide.
Urged to put pressure on Kerala government
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said, “Unfortunately, we do not have a government and hence we cannot do what a government can do. So, I told my sister and (AICC general secretary) K. C. Venugopal that every member of Congress and UDF should put pressure on the Kerala government to help the victims of landslides.”

PM targeted in Adani case
During this, Rahul also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of discriminating against the people of Wayanad and said that Modi is not ready to provide them the help they deserve. Attacking Prime Minister Modi, Rahul claimed that he was treating industrialist Gautam Adani differently than the people of India, while the Constitution says everyone should be treated equally. He further said, “Prime Minister Modi says that it does not matter if Adani is accused and called a criminal in America and we will not prosecute him in India.”

Priyanka's first visit to Kerala as MP
Earlier, while talking to reporters outside Karipur Airport, MP Priyanka Gandhi said that she is very happy to be back in Wayanad and she will make every possible effort to help the people here. This is her first visit as MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. In the election results released on November 23, Priyanka won the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election by a huge margin of 4,10,931 votes. This was his first election. In this spectacular and historic victory, he left behind the victory margin of his brother Rahul Gandhi from this seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
