Srinagar, 30 November (Hindustan Reporter). BSF’s Kashmir Frontier Inspector General Ashok Yadav said on Saturday that terrorists have reduced communication among themselves, making it a big challenge for the security forces to catch them.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of BSF’s Raising Day celebrations at STC Humhama on the outskirts of Srinagar city, BSF’s Kashmir Frontier Inspector General Ashok Yadav said terrorists always try to strengthen their security protocols. They reduce communication which reduces intelligence gathering. But all agencies analyze whatever inputs they get to identify their locations and their supporters so that they can be neutralized.
Asked whether minimal communication between terrorists was becoming a challenge in tracking them, the BSF IG said it was a big challenge but added that the security agencies would also implement new strategies to deal with it. He said that security and intelligence agencies are discussing to find ways to deal with these new challenges. Yadav said that before the onset of winter, there are frequent infiltration attempts on the Line of Control (LoC) but the security forces make operational plans in advance. He said that this year also the Indian Army is dominant and their effort is to foil any such attempt before heavy snowfall.
On information about the presence of terrorists at the launchpads across the LoC, IG BSF said that as per intelligence inputs, people are waiting at the launchpads to make infiltration attempts to disturb the peaceful atmosphere here. But the way we are alert on the Line of Control and occupying the area, we are confident that we will foil such attempts, he said. When asked whether the political situation in Pakistan would have any impact here, he said that whenever any such change happens in Pakistan, it definitely has an impact here but that is the job of the intelligence agencies.
