Jharkhand News: Upgradation of railway infrastructure in Jharkhand is progressing fast. Various projects are going on simultaneously to make the historic Jharsuguda railway station world-class. Elevation of 12 platforms including two-feet overbridges at the station is in full swing. This construction work is going on at a cost of around 300 crore rupees. The new building and other infrastructure of Jharsuguda railway station are being developed rapidly. Once the works are completed, the look of the Jharsuguda railway station will change. The construction of new railway station building is in progress and the development work of Jharsuguda Railway Station is being undertaken by Railways under Kathi Shakti Yojana. Construction of two new footbridges and a new railway station is underway. Along with this there is a plan to increase the number of platforms at the railway station from five to 12. The heritage building of the railway station located here will be preserved without any damage. Two new railway tracks are being laid opposite the main entrance of the existing railway station. Construction of two new railway lines on the other side of the railway station i.e. towards Railway Colony is also underway. Currently there are eight railway lines which will be increased to twelve. After this the number of sites will also increase. Here, passenger seating will also be arranged on the newly constructed canal bridge. The platform will be extended by 800 meters, the platform will be extended by about 800 meters towards the Railway Building and the Heritage Building and the Old Bus Stand located on the eastern side of the Friday Market. Parking zone and other arrangements will be made in front of the Friday market entrance of the railway station. On the other hand, the main entrance will be near ADEN office towards Railway Colony. National Highway-49, which passes through the city's Bombay Chowk, leads to the gateway. There will be uniform arrangements for arrival and departure of passengers on both sides of the station. All these works are targeted to be completed within two years. Work has begun to transform the silver market. Along with this, several shops have been given demolition notices. Also, the construction of a new flyover has started to replace the dilapidated and dilapidated flyover near the old bus stand. It is expected by the Railways that the Jharkuda railway station will gain a prominent place in the railway map in the coming days.
