Mahindra Prepares for Electrification with New EV Fleet Names Trademarked
Mahindra announced its Born Electric Fleet of SUV vehicles in 2022. The XUV 700, Mahindra’s perfect family SUV concept pure electric variant was named the XUV.e8 showcased at the same time in 2022, however, Mahindra is likely to change the name for the production model expected to be launched by the end of this year.
XUV 1XO and XUV 3XO name tags are highly anticipated to be used for Mahindra & Mahindra’s new fleet of entry-level electric vehicles. XUV 1XO may be allocated to an electric version of the XUV 100.
Mahindra & Mahindra was established in India on the 2nd of October, 1945 and is currently one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the country offering 10 SUVs in their current line-up.
The KUV 100 NXT, the Marazzo, the Bolero and Bolero NEO, the Scorpio classic and the Scorpio N, the XUV 300 and 700, and the Thar are their combustion engines offerings while the XUV 400 is currently their only electric SUV offered.
Apart from Mahindra & Mahindra’s passenger vehicle fleet offerings, they also offer utility-based vehicles under the name tags MAXX Pik-up and MAXX Pik-up HD, Bolero Pik-up and Camper, and the Balero Maxitruck Plus.
Mahindra is expected to launch the facelifted XUV400 EV by the end of 2024 along with the all-electric variant of the XUV 700, and the rest of the Born Electric line by the middle of 2025.
