Pushpa 2's runtime can give tough competition to Animal, Kalki 2898 AD: Report
Mumbai Mumbai:�As the release date of Sukumar's much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule is getting closer, the hype around the Allu Arjun starrer is also increasing. With the pre-release momentum finally picking up, a new report has shed light on the film's runtime and an important sequence. And if reports are to be believed, Pushpa 2 could be one of the longest Indian films of 2024. Pushpa 2: The Rule was recently screened for the members of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Times Now quoted sources close to the board as saying that the film was passed for release with some cuts and scene changes. The film was given a U/A certificate.
Apart from this, the film also received positive response. But most importantly, the final cut of the film is 200 minutes long, which translates to 3 hours 20 minutes. Considering that both these films have grossed over ₹900 crore worldwide despite their runtimes, Pushpa The makers of 2 must have some hope. The report also states that the CBFC members present at the screening found the Gangamma Thalli Jathara sequence to be one of the best in the entire film. Jathara is a folk festival held in various parts of South India, including Chittoor and Tirupati. Allu Arjun's unique look from Jathara has already been shown in the posters and teaser of the film.

Pushpa 2: The Rule brings back Allu Arjun as the main smuggler. The film, a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, sees him rekindling his rivalry with SP Bhairon Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil). Also starring is Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role from part one. The film, which is considered to be one of the biggest Indian films of all time, is scheduled to release on December 5.
