Equities opened higher in early trade, with Sensex and Nifty gaining ground.

Equities: Domestic equity markets opened with gains on Thursday, 28 November 2024, after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) approved the name of Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. In early trade, the benchmark Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange (BSE) rose 59.84 points, or 0.07%, to 80,293.92 points. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) Nifty also gained 27.80 points or 0.11% to open at 24,302.70. Shares of the two Adani Group companies In the early trade of the stock exchange, out of 30 companies listed on the BSE Sensex, around 18 stocks opened with strength, while 12 stocks opened with weakness. Adani Ports shares are trading strongly on the BSE for the second day in a row. Shares of Adani Ports traded at Rs 1212.40 with a gain of 1.05% in early trade. However, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra opened the trade down 0.92% at Rs 2976.70. Shares of Adani Enterprises closed at Rs 2399 with a gain of 11.56% on the NSE. At the same time, Apollo Hospitals shares fell 1.34% to trade at Rs 6982. Japan's Nikkei and South Korea's KOSPI Talking about other Asian stock markets, Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's KOSPI opened their trade on a strong note. However, shares of Hong Kong's Hang Seng and China's Shanghai Composite opened lower in early trade. European and US markets ended with losses on Tuesday.
