Wholesale traders cannot store more than 2,000 tonnes of wheat, according to a government release, as per the amended rules on wheat stocks, traders and wholesalers are allowed to store up to 2,000 tonnes. At the same time, large retail chains can store 10 tonnes of wheat in each outlet and in all depots (10 times the total number of outlets). Earlier, they had no restrictions on stocking wheat depending on the number of points of sale. Stock limit for processors reduced The stock limit for wheat processors has been reduced to 60% of their monthly installed capacity (MIC), a government report said. So far it was 70%. There is no change in the stock limit for individual retailers. They can store up to 10 tonnes of wheat.
