In her first interview to a TV channel after becoming a candidate, Kamala Harris accused Donald Trump of giving 'hateful and divisive' speeches. Criticizing Trump's speech, Kamala Harris said, “I feel that people are now 'tired' of the kind of leadership style Trump adopts.” Brian Taff, anchor of the news channel 'WPVI-TV' in Philadelphia, asked Harris to name one or two areas where she considers herself different from Biden.
Harris said, “Look, I am not Joe Biden and I represent the 'new generation'.” She said that things that were once taken lightly can no longer be ignored. Harris said, “For example, I have a plan that is based on a new approach. Under this, I want to increase the 'child tax credit' for families to US$ 6,000 till their child is one year old because this year is very important for the development of the child and hence my approach is about new ideas, new policies keeping in mind the current times.”
