According to the Hindu calendar, every year the Pitru Paksha begins in the month of Bhadrapad. This year, the Pitru Paksha is starting from 17th September and the first Shradh of Pitru Paksha is on 18th September. The Pitru Paksha will end on 2nd October. There are two eclipses during the 15 days of Pitru Paksha. One is a solar eclipse and the other is a lunar eclipse. These two big events are going to happen in Pitru Paksha.

The second lunar eclipse of the year will occur on the second day of Pitru Paksha on September 18, on the full moon of Bhadrapad. This eclipse will not be visible in India. After this, the last solar eclipse of the year will also occur on the last day of Pitru Paksha on October 2, on Ashwin Amavasya. However, the solar eclipse will also not be visible in India. Both the eclipses will be invisible in India. Due to which there will be no Sutak. However, in the midst of all this, the event of eclipse is considered inauspicious in Sanatan Dharma.
