Earth shook in Delhi-NCR, epicenter was Pakistan, intensity was 5.8 on Richter scale
New Delhi: Today on Wednesday afternoon, earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of North India including Delhi-NCR. It is reported that the epicenter of this earthquake is in Pakistan. According to the information received, the intensity of the earthquake was measured 5.8 on the Richter scale.
The tremors of this earthquake were also felt in Islamabad and Lahore. It is also being said that the earthquake occurred at 12:58 pm. Its epicenter was in Pakistan and its depth was 33 km.

According to information on the matter, tremors were felt in many districts of Pakistan including Islamabad and Lahore. Cities like Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Mianwali and Bhakkar were also affected by it. This earthquake caused panic among the people and they came out of their homes and offices. There is no report of any casualty or damage in the incident so far.

Pakistan Meteorological Department said that the earthquake struck at 12.28 pm Pakistan time and its magnitude was measured at 5.7 on the Richter scale. Geo News quoted the Meteorological Department as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers near Dera Ghazi Khan area in the southwest of Punjab province.

However, the US Geological Survey said that the magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 5.4 and its impact was felt in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, India's National Center for Seismology said that after the earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit Pakistan at 12.58 pm on Wednesday, its tremors were also felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.
