513 madrasas of UP surrendered recognition, Madrasa Board sent it to the registrar for action

The meeting of Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council was held in Class No. 511 Auditorium, Minority Welfare Directorate, UP, Fifth Floor, Indira Bhawan, Lucknow under the chairmanship of Council President Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed. JRIBA Vice President/Director Minority Welfare and members Qamar Ali, Dr. Imran Ahmed, Asad Hussain, Sarthak Srivastava, Finance and Accounts Officer and RP Singh Registrar, UP Madrasa Education Council were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, after confirming the decisions taken in the last meeting of the Council on 12 September 2023, agenda-wise points were considered in the meeting. After extensive discussion, the Council mainly agreed on the following points.
The council agreed to the proposal to upload/make all the mark sheets before the year 2018 on the authorized website in a phased manner by forming a technical team. Like basic education and secondary education, the council agreed to the proposal to do the process of applying for new recognition of madrasas and granting recognition online on the madrasa portal. For this, the council agreed to make the necessary updates in the madrasa portal.A model administrative plan was approved for the existing 560 state-aided madrasas in Uttar Pradesh and on that basis, the council gave its consent to carry out further proceedings for obtaining and approving the administrative plan under Regulations-2016.The Council agreed to send a proposal to the government for permission to add those Madrasas on the portal after getting the updated status report on those Madrasas which could not be registered on the portal due to some reasons and their information was sent by the District Minority Welfare Officer.
Agreeing to the proposal regarding compassionate appointment of the dependent of late Mohammad Hamid, a Class IV employee working in the Council office, who died during his service period, the Registrar was authorized to complete the proceedings in this regard as per rules at the earliest. The Registrar was authorized to send a justifiable proposal to the government for increasing the budget of the UP Madrasa Education Council and to send the proposal with complete facts to the government.
The Council agreed to hold the board examinations in the first week of February 2025 and directed to take all necessary actions promptly. A committee was constituted to make amendments/improvements in the Madrasa Mini ITI Scheme being run in the state in the current perspective and on the basis of the suggestions received, the Council agreed to take further action. The Council approved the proposal for surrendering and cancelling the recognition of around 513 madrasas received from various districts of the state and as per the Regulations 2016, the Registrar was authorized to take further action.
