One killed, 5 injured in rocket attack on former Manipur Chief Minister Marembam Koireng's house
A rocket attack was carried out on the house of former Chief Minister Marembam Koireng in Manipur. An old man was killed in the attack. Five people were injured. The attack took place on Friday afternoon in Moirang, a residential area of Bishnupur district. It is said that terrorists have conducted this. This is the second rocket attack in the district on Friday. Speaking about the attack on former Chief Minister Marembam Koireng's house, an official said that the old man who died in the attack was preparing for a religious ceremony. Five people including a 13-year-old girl were injured in the attack. Fortunately there were no casualties. In connection with the attack, the police said that the attacks were carried out from the nearby hilly areas of Surachandpur district towards the residential area of Dronglabi. Tronglaobi is 45 kilometers from Imphal. The police said that the community hall was damaged in the attack, but there were no casualties in the attack. However, a local community hall and an empty room were also damaged in the attack. After this, the security forces retaliated. Apart from this, people reported that tensions rose in Khumbi village, a few kilometers from Tronglapi, after seeing several drones hovering less than 100 meters above the ground on Thursday night.
