Milk gopal scheme to be shut down in Rajasthan, education minister says – 'coarse grains will now be given instead of milk'

Rajasthan Milk Gopal Yojana: In Rajasthan, the BJP government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is gearing up to replace another scheme of Khelat Raj. The Education Department has started preparations to discontinue the Bal Gopal Dood Yojana in primary schools across the state. Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar pointed out that not all school students benefit from the scheme. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that under the current scenario not all students are getting the benefits of the Pal Gopal Yojana. Considering this, the education department is considering providing millets instead of milk to school students. At the same time, the Rajasthan Teachers' Union has termed the decision as wrong. As 'cow milk cannot be provided', Education Minister Madan Dilawar said: In Rajasthan, there are a large number of school students who do not want to drink powdered milk. Quality cow milk cannot be supplied on time in all those places. Because there is no guarantee that quality cow milk will be available everywhere. Therefore, in the current situation, provision of millet instead of liquid is also being considered. He also hinted that the Bal Gopal Dood Yojana scheme may be discontinued. While the teachers' union has objected to this, the Rajasthan Teachers' Union has said that the decision is wrong. State President of Rajasthan Teachers Association Shekhawat Mahaveer Chihag protested against this decision of Education Minister. Sihak said nothing is more nutritious for young children than milk. There is no substitute for milk. Milk has been provided to children for a long time under the Bal Gopal Yojana scheme. It also yielded meaningful results. Mahaveer Chihag added that the sudden increase in milk quality and non-availability of milk is incomprehensible. There is no shortage of cow's milk anywhere in Rajasthan. He said giving millet is a different matter. It can also be given to government school children but is not a substitute for milk. According to him, such a decision of the education department is completely wrong. Also Read- Nitin Gadkari Says No Need To Subsidize Electric Vehicles- People Want It Now
