Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma held an important cabinet meeting. In this, the government of Assam has come forward to bring a new law to open global schools. According to this, security clearance will now be mandatory for those who want to open medical, nursing, dental colleges or universities in the state. According to this proposed law, before opening an educational institution, security clearance should be obtained from the state government. The policy of the Congress is that any rich institution can easily open a university, but henceforth our government will allow the university to open only after obtaining security clearance from the Special Branch. Some institutions in Kerala are interested in opening universities in Muslim-dominated areas of Assam. Congress had a policy of allowing any wealthy institution to open a university. The Chief Minister added that some people from Kerala are interested in opening universities in Muslim-majority areas of Assam, especially Parpeta and Barak Valley districts. The agency is suspected, but in the absence of the necessary laws, there was no provision to prosecute them earlier in Assam. Now, the approval of the Assam Cabinet is to be sought so that a thorough background check of the company and its owners can be ensured. Considering this issue, the government will grant permission to the universities to function only after obtaining security clearance from the special department.
