Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan disclosed that he very modestly scored a 42 percent grade in his Bachelor of Science course at Kirori Mal College under University of Delhi.
Veteran Bollywood star, Amitabh Bachchan shed light on his academic past revealing an unexpected detail about his Bachelor of Science degree. This acclaimed actor, who graduated from Kirori Mal College under the University of Delhi humbly admitted scoring only 42 percent in his BSc program. In the recently aired of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16,’ Big B candidly shared amusing stories about his university era with a touch of nostalgia.

During the show, Big B revealed, “I pursued a BSc without fully understanding what it entailed. I did well in Science and thought it was a suitable option.” His comments clearly showed his initial indifference, followed by an eventual epiphany. “I had always heard that there is scope in science. In just 45 it changed everything,” Big B added.
The veteran actor opened up about his struggles in academics, candidly admitting that he didn’t ace his tests on the first go. He said, “When I first attempted, I failed. After reattempting, I managed to scrape through with a 42 percent. It was a challenging time, but I passed.” Bachchan divulged he had finished his degree way back in 1962, but his scholastic milestones then didn’t hint at the phenomenal success he was bound to reach in the movie field.
Amitabh Bachchan started his journey to stardom in 1969 when he introduced us to his captivating voice as a narrator in the critically acclaimed movie ‘Bhuvan Shome’, directed by the legendary Mrinal Sen. His acting skills graced the silver screen for the first time in ‘Saat Hindustani.’ As years rolled by, Bachchan established himself as a force to reckon with in the film industry through unforgettable performances in classics like ‘Anand,’ ‘Deewaar,’ ‘Sholay,’ ‘Kabhi Kabhie,’ and ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar,’ to name a few.
In the 90s, he took a break from his film career, but then stunningly bounced back with notable roles in films like ‘Mohabbatein,’ ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,’ ‘Baghban,’ and ‘Paa.’ More recently, his work in critically acclaimed movies like ‘Piku,’ ‘Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva,’ and his current project, ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ has won him much acclaim.
