According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ganesha was born during the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month in the Hindu calendar. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7 while Ganesh Visarjan will be performed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Installation Muhurta
According to the Panchang, Vinayaka Chaturdashi Tithi will begin on Saturday, September 6, 2024 at 3:01 pm and end on Sunday, September 7 at 5:37 pm. Apart from this, the idol installation muhurta will start at 11:03 am and end at 1:34 pm.
That is, this period will be of 2 hours and 31 minutes in total. Another important thing, it is advised to avoid seeing the moon on Ganesh Chaturthi from 9:01 pm to 8:16 pm on September 6.
